Production Upadte - 6
almost 5 years ago – Mon, Jul 08, 2019 at 02:01:49 AM

Dear Backers:

We understand some backers start to doubt Escura is a scam. Of course, there is no excuse for any delay but there always should have some reasons.

After another month, (Yes, we didn't post an update every 2 weeks as our promise. We are very sorry about this) we have a major update for the latest status of the Escura Camera today. Please study as following:

TOOLING (Injection Mould)

As per the image above, the mould of the camera is almost finished, we are now polishing the mould. And the great news is we are going the test the mould soon, and that's mean the pilot production will be started soon as well.

Pilot Production

Once we test the mould and pass the quality inspection, we will start a pilot production.

What is pilot production? Pilot production is a major procedure before going ahead for mass production. We will enhance the production schedule and production line after the pilot production. We will fine tune everything. There will be around 150 to 200pcs camera will be produced during the pilot production. Usually, those cameras will be going to sales and promotion, Demonstration, and as an engineering sample for Press and media's evaluations. However, the camera from the pilot production may be a bit different from mass production. But please no worry, all functions and operation will be 100% the same for both versions.

Pilot User

We are now enrolling some backers for the pilot shipment which we will ship out the Camera from the pilot production line.

How to be a Pilot User?

Easy, just leave a comment which state "Pilot User" and the first 50 backers will become the pilot user.

** First come first serve, and only for the pledge with the camera (without the flash) only.

** If you have ordered some add-ons, those add-ons will come with the shipment of the pilot user.

Words from our team management

We keep updating the production progress to you and the mass delivery schedule will be started in July.

Thank you again for your patience and understand develop a total new instant camera is always facing unknown issues.

Production Update - 4
about 5 years ago – Tue, May 07, 2019 at 01:02:45 AM

Dear Backers:

We are sorry for the delay of the shipment and this update. However, we have great news for you. As mention in the previous update on 3 April 2019. We had designed a new lens system for the Escura Instant 60s Camera. A 2-elements lens instead of a single lens. The result is great, the new system provides accuracy on focus range, acceptable vignette effect, and more stable exposure. Now, everything is on the final straight road.

As the new lens system require a longer focal length, the lens case will be a bit longer than the original size.

Scared...... yes, the engineering sample scared our design team as well. However, please don't worry. Our design team already adjust the design like the following:

We had tested for the new lens system and please study from the below:
